TOM GUERTS

Dr. Tom G. Geurts, FRICS, is member of the Advisory Board of BRIGHT Industrial Investment. He serves as the “William H. Dunkak”-Chair in Finance at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania (USA). He also holds an appointment at the Technical University of Berlin, where he was awarded an Honorary Professorship.

Beyond his academic career Dr. Tom G. Geurts worked as the Director of Research at Newmark (now Newmark Grubb Knight Frank), was Advisor for Research and Analytics at CBRE New York, and was one of the founding partners of Cadence Capital, a boutique real estate advisory and investment management firm. He has also lead advisory mandates for investment and real estate firms, including IBM, Morgan Stanley, and Real Capital Analytics.

Dr. Geurts was awarded the Philip H. Sieg Fellowship at Pennsylvania State University where he earned a Ph.D. in Finance. He received two Masters degrees from the University of Amsterdam, Economics and Political Science. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Higher Technical College in Zwolle (Netherlands).

RÜDIGER THRÄNE

Rüdiger Thräne is member of the Advisory Board of BRIGHT Industrial Investment. He is branch manager of the JLL office in Berlin with around 360 employees. In his first position as Real Estate Portfolio Manager in New York at Siemens USA he was responsible for the valuation of all company locations in North America. In 1990, he returned to Germany and specialized in investments in prime locations at Kemper’s, helped build up the Kemper’s branch network and was finally appointed Managing Partner of the company. In 1996 he also became managing partner of Kemper’s Holding GmbH. With the merger of Kemper’s and Jones Lang LaSalle in 2008, Rüdiger Thräne became Regional Director and has been heading the Berlin JLL office ever since. From 2009 to 2017 he was also a member of the German Management Board.

Rüdiger Thräne studied economic geography at the Ludwigs-Maximilian University Munich and later graduated from the European Business School.
